Can You Get Money From The Government?
Why do people think that they can make money with government grants? Barack Obama is now the President and it seems like people voted for him because they though he was going to give them money. This is silly if you think about it although Democrats do have a habit of giving out a lot of our taxpayer's money. The stimulus bill is giving away lots of money to corporations and trying to keep them afloat but he is not giving out money via the grant system. People are desperate right now and they are hoping to get money any way they can.

Such a large number of Americans want to get their hands on the supposed "free money" the government is giving out. The number of bailout dollars is incredibly big and people hear about it all the time where ever they turn. These people are having a hard time making ends meet and they want some of the money they think should be coming their way. Unfortunately, they don't understand that it is all going to be coming out of all our taxes and probably our children's taxes as well. What they get now will be offset in the future and it does look bleak indeed.
It is very sad when you think about the numbers of people that hope they can make some kind of score off the Obama presidency. While the government is there to help us all and maintain order in our society, it is not there to just give us things. Most of us have gotten into a bad financial position because we refuse to save and spend more than we have. That is not a problem that is any business of our government.
There are ways to profit from the stimulus bill and that is in the form of some of the new jobs that were created or old ones that were saved by the bill. You might be able to get one of the newly created jobs and make a better life for yourself that way. However, that will be the only way to get some of the stimulus money unless Obama somehow decides to give a rebate check to everyone, which is highly unlikely.
Businesses as well as state and local governments have been the main recipients of the money that has come from the stimulus bill. There is very little set aside for the likes of you and me and whatever there is will be hard and confusing to qualify for. So, if you do need money to pay off loans or for other purposes, the stimulus bill will probably not be your answer.
