How do you honestly make money in online marketing, what do I have to do in order to get the best results?

It is very easy to get confused in online advertising, especially with everybody telling you that this or that is the Golden key to riches. Unfortunatly, you don't know where to do to start, or even what to do to get better results?

Firstly, you need to understand that not everybody is right and when they are all telling you different things, how can they all be right..

Now you need to ask yourself, out of all those amazing idea's, how many have you tried? Then ask yourself how many of those have actually made you money?

I have asked this question hundreds of times and the answer is always no. But be easy on yourself because there is hope. Let's just figure out where you are at right now.

If you are a beginner: Have you bought a Domain Name yet? Do you have a website or blog? Do you have an auto responder?

Intermediate: Did you even start to build your email list? Is your auto responder set up to email daily? Do you promote many different products, or the same one to the same list?

For people who have been doing this over 1 year: How responsive is your list? How is your SEO? For every dollar you spend on advertising what do you get back? Are you making enough online to quit your day job?

There are so many other items that I could add to this list, but if your not happy with your answers so far whats the point?

If you want better answers, you need to look at what you are doing and decide if it is the right things to be working on, How much time are you devoting to improving the things that support your internet empire. And how much time do you spend chasing your tail or the latest super hot technique.

Just so you know, most of the "new" programs and services that you read about online everyday, are nothing more than fluffed up stuff of the things that really work.

If you are not happy because your internet business is not where you thought it be by now, then you need to take a step back, decide exactly what you should be working on every day and make sure to get it done.

So how do you know how best to prioritize your time? Do what the professionals do and keep a diary. People have been using this for the past 2000 years and it has been proven to work and to make sure that you get done what needs to be done everyday.

As easy as this sounds, you would be surprised at how many people just wont do it, and it can mean the difference between success and failure.

You need to set time aside everyday to improve on something that needs improvement, this could be as simple as taking a look at your website and figuring out how best to do some search engine optimization on it to help boost your rank in the search engine results.

Have you website really leave an impression on your visitors, submit some more articles to the article directories, leave links in blogs and forums every day, this builds back links and helps with your search engine rank.

If you put these basic tips into effect you will begin to turn a profit. Now that you are making money simply because you got back to the basics of internet marketing, you can begin adding new ways of advertising and see if they improve your traffic and sales. Ask yourself do these new techniques suit your style, your products, your mind set, then try them.

If you write down your goals in your journal you will also need to write down what actions you need to take to reach your goals, once this is done you can concentrate on improving and growing your own online business, instead of reading more email's that promise you that you will get rich when you buy there program.

Once you begin to start making more money online than you ever have before you will find these steps a pleasure to do everyday, and that will lead you to a new level of business. So be kind to yourself, decide exactly what you want to do, decide when you are going to do it and then do it.
